Jan Mandel is a jeweler whose asymmetric gold wire fretworks defy their fragile appearance and evoke mass where there is none, relying on the viewer’s eye to visualize the unseen. Her work has been shown in museums around the world, including the Renwick Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
