Jan Maddox

Jewelry

Jan Maddox creates jewelry as a wearable art form. Her most recent jewelry work includes a new series of disc and square brooches in sterling and 18K gold as well as a series of colored pencil drawings framed in sterling. Her distinctive double rings approach the idea of a ring from a different direction, incorporating ancient forms and contemporary fashions. In different ways, these all reflect the two dominant areas of her career at Montgomery College teaching design/crafts and art history courses.
